How To Use

Caring for your Japanese Honeysuckle scented candle keeps it burning cleanly and evenly for longer. A few simple habits make all the difference:

  1. Trim the cotton wick to 5mm before every burn to keep the flame steady and reduce soot.
  2. On the first burn, let the coco soy wax melt all the way to the edges of the glass (about 3 to 4 hours) to prevent tunnelling.
  3. Burn for 1 to 4 hours at a time, never less than 1 hour or more than 4.
  4. Stop using the candle once about 10mm of wax remains at the bottom.
Safety Instructions

Please burn your Japanese Honeysuckle candle safely and follow these candle safety guidelines:

  • Always burn within sight, and never leave a lit candle unattended.
  • Keep the candle away from anything that can catch fire.
  • Never move a burning candle. Extinguish it and let the wax set solid before handling.
  • Burn on a flat, heat-resistant surface, as the glass can become hot.
  • Avoid draughty spots, open windows, air vents and fans.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Stop burning once 10mm of unmelted wax remains at the bottom of the glass.
  • Don't burn for less than 1 hour or more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Keep the wick upright and trimmed to 5mm before and during each use.
  • Never use water to extinguish the candle; smother the flame or use a snuffer.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How long does a Japanese Honeysuckle candle burn?

Our Japanese Honeysuckle scented candle burns for up to 80 hours. It's a 400g coco soy candle, so with a trimmed wick and a full melt pool you'll enjoy many evenings of fragrance from it.

How should I burn my candle for the first time?

On the first light, burn it for 3 to 4 hours until the melted wax reaches the edge of the glass. Setting that even pool early stops the candle tunnelling and helps it burn cleanly all the way down.

What is the Japanese Honeysuckle candle made of?

It's hand-poured in Australia from a premium coco soy wax blend with a clean cotton wick. Coco soy burns slower and cleaner than paraffin, leaving very little soot or residue on the glass.

What does Japanese Honeysuckle smell like?

Japanese Honeysuckle is a sweet, delicate floral. It opens with bright mandarin and pine needle, softens into grape and neroli, and settles into warm vanilla, jasmine and cedarwood, with a soft throw that fills a room without feeling heavy.

Can I reuse the candle jar when it's finished?

Yes. Once the last of the wax has burned away, wash the jar with warm soapy water and reuse it as a small vase, brush holder or trinket pot.
